Welcome back to the Lunar Client Recap for July 2026! This month was a packed one, bringing a brand new way to find servers straight from the main menu, the return of a fan-favorite mod, three separate upgrades to our Chat Mod, and six different changes to Skyblock alone. On top of all that, our Rewind, TierTagger, and Inventory mods, as well as Apollo, all received meaningful updates. There's plenty to get through, so without further ado, let's jump right into the July Recap!
You can also check out this month's Lunar Client recap video below!
Server Discovery
Kicking things off with what might be the biggest addition this month, there's a brand new button sitting on your main menu: Server Discovery. This feature lets you browse and search over 1,000 Minecraft servers without ever leaving the game, so finding somewhere new to play no longer means hunting through a list site and copy-pasting IPs back and forth.

Opening it up, you'll find your recently played servers sitting right at the top for quick access. Below that is our Trending tab, which highlights the servers gaining the most players week over week, and it's a genuinely great way to catch a server on its way up rather than a month after everyone else found it. Then there's our Recommended section, which is curated around things like which servers your friends are playing on, what's popular in your region, and servers similar to ones you've already spent time on.
If you run or develop a server and you'd like to show up on the Discovery page, you can absolutely get listed. Head over to our ServerMappings documentation to learn how it works and get yourself added.
Lunar SMP
Speaking of servers, LunarSMP is officially back for its fourth season! For anyone who hasn't joined us before, LunarSMP is our own relaxed survival multiplayer experience running on the latest version of the game, with regular events throughout the season where you can earn free cosmetics and even Lunar+.

This season kicked into gear on August 8th, when the End opened for the very first time alongside three separate events, and we've got plenty more planned as the season goes on. If you'd like to hop in, you can connect on versions 26.1.2 through 26.2 using the server IP lunarsmp.gg, or just search "LunarSMP" from the new Server Discovery page we just went over.
Explore Page Install Queue
Jumping over to the Launcher, our Explore page now has an Install Queue, letting you line up multiple downloads at once and letting Lunar Client work through them one at a time instead of babysitting each install yourself. This one is especially handy if you're grabbing a large modpack that's going to take a few minutes to finish, but you also want to queue up a couple of resource packs and shaders behind it. Set it all off, go do something else, and come back to a fully populated client.

Screenshots Page Update
Staying on that side of the Launcher, our Screenshots page, which we introduced last month, received a whole batch of improvements. You can now select multiple screenshots at once and delete them in bulk, which is a real time saver if your folder has quietly filled up with accidental F2 presses over the years. Clicking into an individual screenshot will also now show you its metadata, including the resolution, file size, and the exact date and time it was captured. Alongside those additions, we've made some general performance improvements to the page as well, so scrolling through a few thousand screenshots should feel a lot smoother than it did before.

Modpack Version Migration
To wrap up our Launcher updates this month, you can now migrate an existing modpack over to a different version of the game, and Lunar Client will automatically update every mod inside that pack to the appropriate version wherever one is available.

To do this, start by unlinking your modpack from its project, then head into the Versions tab and look for the new Migrate Content button. From there, just pick the version you'd like to move over to, and everything that can be updated will be handled for you. No more rebuilding a pack from scratch every time a new version drops
Mod Menu Update
Heading back in-game, our Mod Menu now supports favoriting, so you can pin the mods you actually use to the top of the list. Just hover over any mod and click the star icon that appears in its top-left corner, and it'll jump straight to the top. If you're the kind of player who tweaks the same three mods every session and scrolls past the rest, this one's for you.

Chat Mod Updates
Chat Peek
Moving into the Chat Mod, one of our most requested community suggestions is finally here: Chat Peek. This feature lets you preview your full chat box by holding down a keybind, without pausing your gameplay or fully opening chat the way you normally would — perfect for catching what your party just said in the middle of a fight instead of after it.
To set it up, head into the Chat Mod and pick your preferred key under the new Chat Peek Key option, then hold it down any time you want a quick look at what's been said. And if you'd like a shot at seeing your own idea make it into Lunar Client, drop it in the suggestions channel over on our Discord.
Chat Emojis & Chat Heads
The Chat Mod wasn't done there, though, picking up two more updates on top of Chat Peek this month.
First up is Chat Emojis, which lets you use just about any Unicode emoji in chat. By default, these display in the colorful Twemoji style, but if that feels a little too modern for your setup, you can swap over to a more pixelated vanilla-style look instead.

Then there's Chat Heads, which adds a small render of each player's head next to their message when toggled on. It's a small touch, but it makes a busy chat far easier to read at a glance, and gives everyone a bit more personality than a username in white text ever could.
Screenshot Uploader
Sticking with screenshots for a moment, our Screenshot Uploader Mod received a couple of small but very welcome quality-of-life additions. There's now a delete option for getting rid of an unwanted screenshot right on the spot, so a misfire doesn't have to sit in your folder forever, as well as a new Copy button for our macOS users, making it much easier to share screenshots across platforms.

New Knockback Trainer Mod
We teased it last month, and it's now officially live: the Knockback Trainer Mod. For anyone unfamiliar, landing a hit while you're falling (often called a jump reset) is one of the trickiest habits to build in PvP, and it's almost impossible to practice properly without knowing whether your timing was actually off or just unlucky. That's exactly what this mod is built to solve, and it does it with three main tools.
Jump Timing Feedback displays an on-screen indicator telling you whether your jump was early, late, or perfectly timed relative to your last hit. The Ground Distance Graph then plots your distance from the ground as you jump, with the option to overlay your hits directly onto the graph so you can see precisely where in the arc you're connecting.
Rounding things out, Knockback Stats gives you a summary of your session, including your falling hit percentage, your current streak, and your average timing error measured in ticks. You can also fine-tune the offset and the timing window using adjustable sliders, and turn on a sound effect that plays whenever a falling hit lands, so you can keep practicing without staring at the graph the whole time.
TierTagger Mod Updates
Next up, our TierTagger Mod, which displays a player's competitive tier ranking right in their nametag, picked up two solid updates this month.
The first is the new /lctiers command, which lets you look up any player's tier information on demand. This includes their overall rank and points, the region they compete in, and their placement across every single mode they've been ranked in, all without needing to alt-tab out to a website.
The second is the ability to display a second tier directly in a player's nametag. Head into the mod settings and choose a mode under the new Second Game Mode option, and that player's tier in that mode will show alongside their primary one, which is great if you want to know how someone stacks up in the mode you're actually queuing.
Inventory Mod Updates
Our Inventory Mod also picked up a few nice updates this month. The search feature can now always search an item's lore text for whatever you type in, which comes in handy far more often than you'd think. When you can perfectly remember a line from an item's description but have completely forgotten what it's actually called, this option is perfect.

Alongside that, the new Enchantment QuickDisplay lets you show enchantment levels directly on your items. You can choose to display them in your hotbar, your inventory, or both, switch them to roman numerals, reposition the value, set a custom color, and even set a separate override color for items that also have Mending, so those stand out from everything else at a glance.
Rewind Updates
Rounding out our mod updates, our Rewind Mod saw three notable changes this month.
The first is a new Render Region export option, letting you render just a section of your timeline instead of committing to the whole thing. Open the Export tab inside any project, switch the render type over to Region, then set an in and out point before rendering as usual. If you've ever waited out a full export just to grab one ten-second clip from the middle, this one should save you a lot of time.

We've also made a round of timeline improvements. The timeline is noticeably smoother to scrub through now, and you're able to select multiple keyframes at once rather than moving them one by one.
Finally, the Media tab now supports folders, letting you create and rename them to keep your clips, sound effects, and other assets organized within a project. Handy once a project grows past the point where a single flat list is workable.
Hypixel Skyblock Updates
Now on to our busiest section of the month, with Skyblock picking up six separate updates in July.

Smooth Teleport
Starting off, there's a new Smooth Teleport option for players using the Aspect of the End, Aspect of the Void, Leech, or a Hyperion. Rather than snapping instantly to your destination, you can now enable a smooth teleport animation with a fully customizable duration, including a separate toggle if you'd like Etherwarp to behave differently from a standard teleport.
Vanilla Item Models
With the new official Skyblock texture pack releasing this month, we know the new look isn't for everyone. Our new Vanilla Item Models option reverts items back to their original models, with the flexibility to whitelist specific textures you actually do like, or swap in entirely different models of your choosing. Whether you want to roll everything back or just fix the handful of items that bother you, it's all in your hands.
Storage Hover Preview
Next up is Storage Hover Preview, letting you hover over most storage types in the game to instantly preview their contents. That covers personal compactors, deletors, backpacks, your ender chest, and cake bags, and you can choose exactly which areas this applies to, as well as whether the preview shows automatically or only while you're holding a keybind.
Vitality Stat HUD
With Vitality becoming a whole lot more important ahead of the upcoming Healing Revamp, it now gets its own customizable Stat HUD element, just like the rest of your stats. No more digging through menus to check a number you're about to need in a fight.
Equipment & Loadout Hotkeys
All 12 of your loadout slots can now be bound to keys on your keyboard for near-instant switching, and that same functionality extends to the Equipment Wardrobe as well. If you're swapping setups constantly between floors or bosses, this should cut a lot of clicking out of your run.
Custom GUI Scale for Floor 7 Terminals
Rounding out Skyblock, you can now set a custom GUI scale specifically for Floor 7 terminals. Since those terminals are all about solving small puzzles under pressure, being able to size them independently from the rest of your interface makes them a fair bit more comfortable to work through.
Apollo Updates
For our server owners and developers, our Apollo API picked up a few updates this month as well.

Server Link Custom Placement
First up, you can now decide exactly where the Server Links button sits within a player's escape menu. Legacy servers running our backport module can swap it in place of either the Achievements or Statistics buttons, while modern servers have the additional option of replacing the Report Bugs button if it isn't being used.
Markers Module
The new Markers Module brings our in-game Markers Mod over to the server side, letting you place world indicators for important areas, NPCs, or specific blocks without having to build a custom solution from scratch. If you've ever written your own hologram or waypoint system just to point players toward a quest NPC, this should save you the trouble.
Block Penalty Option
Also through Apollo, servers running 1.8 and above can now disable the hit penalty players receive after missing a block while targeting, making combat feel a little more forgiving than vanilla's default handling. As with any combat-related module, we'd strongly recommend testing this one on a separate server first, since it can occasionally interact in unexpected ways with certain anti-cheats and plugins.
Gift Gauntlet
Before we get to cosmetics, July also brought back the Gift Gauntlet, our yearly celebration of the players who spend all year buying cosmetics for everyone but themselves. Running from July 1st through August 1st alongside our Summer Vault Sale at 30% off the entire store, every $1 spent gifting cosmetics earned 100 points, with a 10% bonus for completing someone's request straight from their wishlist. Those points unlocked exclusive rewards across our milestone track, and on top of that, our top 25 gifters took home leaderboard rewards!

Cosmetic Clusters
Let's wrap up this month's recap with some cosmetics. Rather than one large collection this month, we released three smaller Cosmetic Clusters, each with its own mix of pets, hats, and bodywear.

If anything catches your eye, all three are available now through the Lunar Client Store.
That wraps up our recap of July 2026 on Lunar Client. As always, if you have any questions or are experiencing issues with your client, create a ticket on our Support Website or join the Lunar Client Discord server!
